Technorati is a real time search engine that searches blogs and competes with Yahoo and Google.  It indexes millions of blogs on the net.  If your marketing tool is a weblog or “blog” then it is essential that you get recognized in as many places as possible.

Joining Technorati is free. When you sign up you are given a piece of code that looks like the one here:

This code is used to verify that the blog is actually yours.  Once the code is in place  Technorati allows you to find out what people are saying about you, your company, your products, your competitors, other areas of interest, on the Internet in real time.
